When you’re looking for your next kitchen, you might want to consider what a group of architects and designers are predicting will be the kitchen trends of the future. Even if you buy an ex-display kitchen, there’s no reason why you can’t embrace some of the following design features highlighted by Dezeen.
They’ve come up with a number of ideas about how kitchens might function in the future, including one named the Living Kitchen, where areas of the kitchen and living area merge.
Another more futuristic option is the Material Kitchen, which has design features in stainless steel; while the Dynamic Kitchen is a showcase of a range of technologically advanced kitchen equipment and design features.
There’s also a room known as Beyond the Kitchen, which includes ideas for “those who consider the kitchen to be the centre of the home”.
All of these designs are on show until 22 September as part of the Serious About Food Kitchen Lab at 98 Wigmore Street in London.
This could be a great opportunity to get some design ideas for your own kitchen if you are thinking about renovating in the near future.
Of course, there are many places you can take inspiration from if you’re looking to redecorate or remodel your kitchen, one of which is favourite TV show the Great British Bake Off (GBBO). Despite its move to Channel 4, much of the set has remained the same, with the striking islands and pastel colours of the tent very much taking centre stage.
